Swim Diapers - Health Information

Fecal contamination of the pool is quite often preventable as is the spread of communicable diseases such as e-coli and chryptosporidium. Wearing a swim diaper in the pool helps prevent the release of fecal matter into the water, but timing of your child's bowel cycle is often the best solution while using the swim diaper as a back-up. Anyone who has had diarrhea in the past week should not go into the pool as this greatly increases the possibility of the spread of germs which abound in the stool. The best solution for other swimmers is not to ingest pool water.
